I don’t was on the verge of defeat. I was so negative, and it takes a lot for me to get that way. I am usually the optimistic friend and I laid on my couch and wanted to rot while I just played out how terrible of a mother I was. To be going through a divorce, to lose her job, to totaling her car, to not finding another job. Then the one voice that wasn’t mine, the quiet one whispered “get up and fast.” I fasted from 8 am that morning to 5 pm, and at 4:50 I got a call about a permanent job opportunity. God is so good. He hears your cries, He sees you when you think no one is looking. A daily surrender is not a lot for Him to ask of us. To walk bearing our own cross. Amen.
