Sitting with Jesus. This is one of my favorite things to do. This is a lifestyle now. It wasn’t always though. It was hard at first. To sit. To stay to hear and to listen, to be disciplined and be intent on canceling all the distractions. This surely didn’t happen overnight, but it happened and made life all right.I heard him speak to me a few days ago. Listen. Sit and listen. But do you sit? Do you listen? Do you take the time to slow your mind? Sit and listen. Hear me speak. I have a lot to say to you. Hear me out. Hear me through. Hear how much I love you. Sit. Settle. Stay. Listen. Hear. Pay attention and take note. Slow your mind. Be at ease, don’t hurry, and hear him speak.
