Bees

The human world is a puzzle of lines drawn in the dirt. On one side of an invisible border, smoke rises under one set of rules; across the line, it drifts freely under another. We argue over fragments of air and patches of ground, forgetting that the sky has no ceiling.
But in the tall grass, a different kingdom breathes. The bees leave their dark cells at dawn, flying over our fences without ever seeing them. They do not gather sweetness for themselves, nor do they argue over who owns the field. Each drop of nectar is a gift to a future they will never see. They live, work, and die for the blossom of the colony, serving a greater good that connects them all. While humanity divides the world into pieces, the hive quietly holds it together.
When will we learn from these, our tiniest brothers, before our own clock runs out? Will we ever open our eyes to the wisdom of the hive, or will we simply run out of time?
