Lauren Kenyon began her minimalist indie-rock mischief in her childhood bedroom with a phone and the garageband app. She slowly developed her sore-throat style that only the D.I.Y approach can elevate. Twocell has been likened to that of simplistic folk rock following artists like Alex G, Angel Olsen, and Brittle Brian. With poetic yet bare lyrics that capture the feeling of loneliness along with distorted guitar, she is able to create a reminiscent sound landscape.
