Luke 5:10-11

10 His partners, James and John, the sons of Zebedee, were also amazed. Jesus replied to Simon, “Don’t be
afraid! From now on you’ll be fishing for people!” 11 And as soon as they landed, they left everything and followed Jesus.
Jesus pursues and calls the fishermen Peter, James, and John to leave their profession and way of life in order to serve Him. They responded with obedience and humility. Followers of Jesus will lovingly surrender their plans for His.
What is God asking you to leave behind to advance the cause of the gospel? Those who follow and serve God
will receive eternal joy and blessings that far outweigh our temporary and fleeting plans.
