Listen "Gap Year"
Episode Synopsis
Hello and welcome back to Nevertheless, Shlee Persisted! This week’s episode is all about embracing change and the unexpected detours that come with it. I’m juggling a second job, and a full week of callbacks, self-tapes, and Cricut crafts—oh my!
It's been a busy season of transitions, and after some journaling, I realized I’ve been in my own version of a "gap year." I’m focusing on saving up, and taking the time to make sure I’m setting myself up for the next chapter of my life. It’s okay to take time to get your life together. Sometimes focusing on the “adulting” side of things—finances, relationships, and future plans—can actually make you a better artist.
So, if you're in a similar space, know that it’s okay to focus on your goals without feeling guilty about the pause.
As always, find me on Instagram @neverthelessshleepersisted and I’ll chat with you next week! xoxo
