John Kampouropoulos

Por: John Kampouropoulos
John Kampouropoulos is a diverse performer and songwriter, telling stories from the present, the past and the future, all wrapped into a shell of different musical colours.
Started as a drummer at the age of 15, he had joined various local bands until 1998 where he quit drumming and focused on singing and writing songs. He was part of a renowned greek band signed to EMI/Chrysalis with whom he recorded two EPs, one LP, and toured abroad.
In 2002 he formed a transitional acoustic-style band and subsequently formed the band "Syde", and they worked mainly on his songs. In the meantime, he had been performing in various gigs as a solo artist. The band toured and performed in various venues, until its disband in 2009.
In 2012 he formed his own band "KAMP" and released two LPs, where John was the songwriter, singer, producer and arranger. After some very fruitful progress the band was forced to split due to schedule problems.
Since 2017 he is working as a solo artist, composing, singing, performing, producing and releasing his own material. He had performed live in various venues, but now is focusing on live streaming events on different platforms.
He has since released 2 LPs and 5 EPs as an indie artist.
