In August 2017, he signed with Atlantic Records, and in January 2018, his single "Outside Today" became a hit, leading to his debut studio album "Until Death Call My Name." YoungBoy has experienced significant success with multiple projects topping the charts, even releasing chart-topping albums while incarcerated, likening him to legends like 2Pac and Lil Wayne. Despite legal issues, his career has been prolific, with his latest albums, "The Last Slimeto" and "I Rest My Case," marking the end of his deal with Atlantic and the beginning with Motown, respectively.
