Listen "Peer Pressure"
Episode Synopsis
Hosts Hannah and Julia with reporter, Kirpa, weigh in on peer pressure, which is defined as "a feeling that one must do the same things as other people of one's age and social group in order to be liked or respected by them." When peer pressure is encouraging you to engage in a dangerous or illegal proceeding, learn to say "no". "No" is a complete sentence and it takes practice to stand up to negative influences. Find friends who have the same ethics and values and who motivate you to be a better person. That is positive peer pressure. It is human nature to want to be liked, accepted, and approved. Surround yourself with people whose behavior and moral code match your own. Be a leader, not a follower.
