Dead Drop

Dead Drop tells the true stories of espionage. Each episode, host Nirob takes one real spy story — the Cambridge Five at the heart of British intelligence, the atomic spies who gave Moscow the bomb, a colonel who quietly prevented a nuclear war, a dead man who fooled the Nazis, a family that sold its country's naval secrets — and rebuilds it: the era, the people and their motives, the secrets they stole or protected, the moment of betrayal, and the discovery that brought it all down. From the Dreyfus Affair that split France to the Venona codebreakers who exposed the Soviet networks, from the great Cold War moles to the modern illegals, Dead Drop is about loyalty and betrayal, ideology and greed, and the quiet, invisible war that has run beneath the visible one for a century. Meticulously researched, honest about what is documented and what remains disputed, and clear about the human cost on every side. Clean and suitable for all ages. A new betrayal every week
