Dasha Fyah is a bass music admirer and vinyl junkie, who loves dub and reggae music, oldschool hip-hop, funk, soul, breaks, raggajungle, world music and just about every vibe, that sounds inspiring to her. Besides that she's ocassionally involved in the runnings of various cultural events.
When DJing, she especially enjoys mixing and blending tunes together to create powerful transitional build-ups and unique harmonic sonic and lyrical stories.
Dasha comes from the Czech Republic and in her mid-teens started travelling around parties with local soundsystems, starting her own DJ story around 2001 alongside local Czajovna soundsystem. At the beginning she selected mainly new roots, dancehall, and raggajungle, also playing at various local venues, freeparties, summer reggae festivals, or as a guest with other soundsystems.

In 2004 Dasha travelled to Great Britain, fell in love with the place instantly and eventually spent most of her twenties in London. There she visited her first session of University of Dub in Brixton Recreation Center, and from then on started appreciating dub culture and message music to the fullness.
Soon came DJ sessions in various London venues and DJ supports before or after the performances of many world acclaimed reggae artists, such as Macka B, Michael Prophet, Earl 16, etc. This was mainly in Hootananny Brixton, where Dasha Fyah resided for nearly 10 years as ´Fyah Sound (and Promotions)´ longside DJ Loic deNiro; but also in other London clubs, such as Brixton Jamm, Vibe Bar, Brixton Telegraph or London Cargo.
In London her multigenre record collection expanded significantly, as well as many influential music connections, that would last on throughout her adventurous journeys.
After her return to the Czech Republic in 2011, she started two new Prague residencies - in Palac Akropolis for (at that time already legendary) "Sunday Dubwise", and also teamed up with a renown cultural point, Cross Club, where she has helped with the organization and promotion of a whole heap of (mainly dub) events.

In 2014 an offer came from the international Dub Force Radio to play regular weekly sessions and this turned out to be a good opportunity for a brand new experience for her. Czech Radio Rastafari later started streaming these broadcasts too. A couple of years later Dasha launched her sessions called 'Essensual Roots´ on the UK-based Real Roots Radio.net and these continue till these days.

Throughout her DJ times Dasha Fyah has played in many European countries, such as Germany, Italy, France, Austria, Poland, Spain, Slovakia and in a myriad of smaller and bigger music events and festivals. She was blessed to play at Real Beat / Reggae Ethnic Session (CZ), Uprising (SK), Rise & Shine (AT), Rototom Sunsplash (SP), One Love (UK), United Nations of Dub (UK), Ostróda (PL), Fusion (DE), LAS (PL), Pop Messe (CZ) and many other great events, and got a chance to test various soundsystems, while meeting up with countless inspiring crews along her way, loving and spreading conscious vibes for the worldwide healing and upliftment.
