I see Prayer & Skill as an investment, when we invest in stocks or savings we are expecting a return.
So when you pray for yourself for God to use you on your instrument
Pray asking God for His sound to blow on you let there be a breakthrough of Gods glory, strength, favor etc….ask Him allow Him to release His power through your hands, His authority through your words and/or singing, preaching, conversation to line up with His Word

As they listen, their secret thoughts will be exposed, and they will fall to their knees and worship God, declaring,
“God is truly here among you.” (1 Corinthians 14:25 NLT)
