In the book of Psalms, we find many types of Psalms. There are hymns of praise, Psalms of lament, confidence, and thanksgiving to name a few. One of the reasons the Psalms are so cherished by the people of God is that they express the whole range of human emotion, from utter despair to jubilant celebration. No matter your situation in life you will find an inspired song that expresses the condition of your heart.  Today we will look together at Psalm 66, a Psalm of thanksgiving, as the Psalmist remembers some difficulty in times past that caused despair, from which the Lord has delivered them.
