Listen "76. The Lord sees everything you do - July 15, 2022"
Episode Synopsis
Welcome to Wisdom Today with Bill Kelley. Today we will go over Proverb 15. I will key in on verse 3. God is with us all of the time and watches everything we do. If we are secure in Christ and obeying the commandments of the Bible that should be comforting to us. If you are not living as you should, this is something to ponder when you are thinking about doing something that you know you shouldn't do. We will be going over 1 John Chapter 2: verses 12-17 today. We are all in different places in our Christian walk. This passage of scripture is very comforting whether you are a brand new Christian - knowing that God has forgiven you of all of your sins, whether you are a young Christian and very strong physically and mentally knowing that God loves you, or whether you have been walking with the Lord for a number of years and live your live being led by the Spirit of God and living a solid, Christian life. Verses 15-17 cautions us about the lust of the flesh (straying into physical relations with people we should not have sexual relations with); the lust of the eyes - being envious of people who have much nicer things materialistically than we do; or the pride of life - being proud of the job you have or of the stature you may have in your community. We should be willing to humble ourselves and think about other people that are an important part of our lives.
