At the busy unveiling of the redeveloped Dunnes Stores, Jetland store in Limerick I caught up with Paddy Brennan who unveiled a special exhibition '20 Years of Dancing at Jetland' at the shopping centre. In 1963, the Jetland Ballroom opened its doors and operated for 20 glorious years hosting huge acts including Roy Orbison, Johnny Cash, The Everly Brothers as well as the biggest showbands of the time. Paddy, the author of 'Limerick Music Throughout the Decades' shared his memories of the ballroom including meeting his wife at the famous venue.
