Do you recognize any patterns in your life? As a human being, I’m sure the answer is a resounding yes. When you find yourself defaulting to an unwanted pattern, you can choose to ignore it or do the work to clear it. In this episode, I unpack the deep connection between thoughts, beliefs, and actions, as well as what I do when I start reliving old patterns that don’t serve me.In the past few months, I found myself believing that no one understands me, I don’t have room in my personal life for my work, and that the people I love the most don’t respect my career. The busy holiday season brought me back to the years when I was raising my children and supporting my husband’s career. It’s been a long time since these thoughts have come up, but it was an important reminder that life is about presence, not perfection. When I found myself feeling depleted and stagnant, I took an honest look at my sleep, nutrition, movement, and mindset. I leaned into the practices that have supported me in the past, such as doing my sunrise and sunset routines, getting on my Power Plate, and mirror gazing.
