The recipient of a Bronze Star for Valor in Iraq, Lt. Hattersley recalls how the feeling of invincibility quickly fades in the line of duty while under fire by the enemy of combat. During his tour of duty, Lt. Hattersley survived the completion of leading countless missions in hostile enemy territory that included heroic actions of saving lives of soldiers and civilians, being the victim of 3 IED roadside bombings, repeated deadly mortal attacks and routine firefights intended to kill fellow American and Allied forces. A foundation reinforced by a lifelong mindset that aided in coming back from a crippling sports injuries and numerous challenges of life.
Lt. Hattersley is also a US Navy Nuclear Class Submarine Officer veteran, Instructor at the US Naval Academy, former Florida State Representative, National Gymnast and Officiating Official turned Author.
