Listen "A Little Town Named Cheddar plus Toronto - Belfast of North America"
Episode Synopsis
This week, Kate talks about the little town of Cheddar in Haliburton County from the late 1800's and how it may have gotten its name. BTW - it's a ghost town today. Plus, Paul talks about how Ireland's potato famine and land clearances led to tension and violence between Irish Protestant and Catholics in mid-1800's Toronto - all leading to Toronto being nicknamed the Belfast of North America.
