Tornados, cannibalism, human trafficking: big trials demand a big response. Sometimes our response is to glorify God. Often our response is anger, blame, and penance.  With trials like these, we sometimes stray to questioning the goodness of God. Is God good? Is God faithful? Is God powerful?   Is there sin that needs to be murdered? Sin that needs to be mortified? Sin that needs to be murd-ified?  The siege of Jerusalem in 2 Kings chapter 6 was no joke, and a great example of what NOT to do in a trial.  ________________________ When this is the day you're going through the kinds of trials that fills you with despair, frustration, and anger, and you feel so tired of the wickedness in the evil world around you, turn your eyes to Christ. Don't put your trust in man. Repent of your fears and look to Christ for strength in your desperation.
