The daughter of former Executive Chairman, MV Murugappan, is fighting against patriarchy and gender discrimination. She is the eldest daughter of the late MV Murugappan and the former Executive Chairman of the Murugappa group. During her conversation she states that for 120 years, the Murugappa Group has been operated by the sons, keeping daughters of the family out of the family business. The Murugappa group has wings spread in bicycles, sugar, abrasives, fertilisers, financial services, and manufacturing.
