Like Beck himself, Winnipeg's Royal Canoe has made a career of pushing the line of contemporary indie rock and pop. Lush production and musicianship are cornerstones of this album and have proven a cornerstone of Royal Canoe. So, it should come as no surprise that a band like this would choose Beck's seventh album, 1999's Midnite Vultures.
