Listen "Caleb Boaz – Accepting God's Plan for the Future"
Episode Synopsis
Continuing my series of sharing the stories of the disciples of the Dream Center of Southeast Texas, I sit down and talk with Caleb Boaz in this episode of "The Journey of My Mother's Son" podcast. Like many of the guys that I've spoken to while we were at the Dream Center, Caleb was brought up in a Christian household by two parents who were leaders in their community. A middle child, he began to rebel against his parents. His use of drugs started at 16 years old by smoking weed and quickly expanding to much harder drugs. He quickly found himself living on his own after getting kicked out of his parents' house. The drug use led to a series of criminal activities that ultimately led to several pending felony charges. Currently out on bond and in the program at the Dream Center, there is still the very real possibility that he could be going to prison for quite some time. Incredibly, he has accepted the fact that even though he is now clean and sober and has a strong relationship with God that his past actions have consequences. With that being said, he has accepted that God will use him in the future whether in prison or as a free man. Caleb's story is one of faith, hope, resilience and trusting whatever God's outcome for his future is.
