WITH GUESTS: MEG, LEIGH and JOHN!  The fourth film in a row in Streep's remarkable late 80's, early 90's turn to comedy, DEATH BECOMES HER (1992) is the most successful of the bunch.  DBH co-stars Goldie Hawn and Bruce Willis, who were bigger box office draws at the time (crazy!). It is directed by Robert Zemeckis, who was one film away from completing one of the all-time great runs in contemporary mainstream films (in 10 years he released: Romancing the Stone, Back to the Future, Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, Back to the Future 2&3, Death Becomes Her and Forrest Gump). Written by podcast pariah David Koepp, it's a wink-wink farce about the vain and superficial, their obsession with their looks and not wanting to get old.  It is a deeply silly film with a gleeful use of early CGI that is both clunky and somehow endearing. At many point you could mistake it for an episode of REAL HOUSEWIVES OF __________ but, we assure, it is not.   Thomas and Ken were not allowed on this episode. Instead we have co-host Andi with favorite guests Meg and Leigh.
