How to fix
Starts with bridging the gap.
If you struggle because of the skill what do you need to learn first?
Do you need a simpler tool?
Do you need something to stop you from getting distracted? What is it?
If the reason you feel unable to stay on track is down to Belief - How can you secure that belief and gain evidence that what you believe is not true and secure a better belief that you are learning the skills, you can do it.
3 if you don't see the value in being organised then you won't be. Simple. So how can you attach being organised to a value you have so you can see the benefit if
Once you have looked at these we can then start to get you organised.
1 - Find a planner system that works for you - For me, that is my 2020 business and life planner, it helps me time block, track finances note what content and social posts I want to do etc. - See https://www.theequinebusinessassistant.co.uk/product/2020-life-business-planner/
2 - Plan for it not going to plan. This is where I always struggled and where my belief that I wasn't good at planning came from. Things don't go to plan and as a result I would feel I failed and wasn't any good. Rather than seeing the failure as feedback, working out what I needed to learn and implement i just, beat myself up instead. So plan in time for things taking longer, time to stop review, reflect and learn.
3 - Make it non-negotiable. When you start to feel that days when you plan, make a difference to days when you don't that run away with you make sure you plan a regular time to block out an plan the week ahead. for me, I do on Fridays and then look at this plan on a Sunday.
I also make sure it's somewhere I can see it.
