"I'm not sure my current clients would be prepared to pay that!"
You know how horses often mirror our problems back to us?
I've been wondering if how we think about our client's is the similar?
I was chatting the other week with a lovely lady in my network about her goals for the business and what she wanted and when by.
Her goal was to hit £2500 by the end of the month (or win the Lottery!)
Being a big believer always in working on what we can control, I decided we'd work on bringing the money,
We had a little dig into what she was offering to get to that income and she said...
"I'm not sure my current clients would be prepared to pay that!"
Have you ever thought that to yourself?
If I had a £1 for every client who had said similar well I'd have at least £400 by now.
And If you're thinking that....
Can I Ask?

WHY WOULDN'T THEY?
HOW DO YOU KNOW?
IS IT TRUE?
WHAT IF IT WASN'T TRUE?

Often when I hear this
I know that...
My client personally can't afford something right now.
So they assume if they can't...
Their clients can't!
Projecting their money mindset issues onto their clients or potential clients.
And with the economy and media hyping up the cost of living...
I fear this thought may become more prominent for many.
What is the cost of believing this though?

You won't put your prices up?
You will struggle even more?
You may grow to resent your business?
You may feel like you aren't worth it?
You'll be overworked and underpaid?
Or something else.

To put it into perspective...
The price is just the price!
If you want a new Izuzu you pay the £30,000 or you buy a 2nd (or 3rd) hand Ford Ranger for £5000!
It just is what it is!
There will always be someone who has the opinion something is expensive (But they still pay it if it is worth it to them!)
My lovely mother was moaning only a few weeks ago about the cost of potatoes (less than £1) and how expensive they were!
People will always say it's pricey or moan about money I can guarantee it!
It doesn't mean it's true or they're right, it's just their own mindset.
You have NO control over that!
You aren't in business to please people with your prices.
You are in business to please people with your services
And that my friend you can 100% control!
So set the price at what you need it to be...
And focus on delivering your best!
Keep perspective! Notice what else you can get for the price!

I spend £78 on horse feed
My Farrier was £70
My vet charges £70 to visit me before even stepping out of the car.

People will and can pay for it!
People find a way!
