Total global mobile data traffic – excluding traffic generated by fixed wireless access – reached around 67Exabytes per month by the end of 2021. This is projected to quadruple to reach 282 exabytes per month in 2027. Demand for data shows no signs of slowing and network operators are challenged every day with the need to deliver massive scale and new services—all at lower costs.
