Rupert Mills played for the Newark Peppers of the Federal League in 1915, and well, sort of again in 1916.This Notre Dame educated lawyer refused a contract buyout at 1/6th of its value which led to him being the only player left in the Federal League for 1916. In order to fulfill his contract he had to "play baseball" by himself.
