October is National Bullying Prevention month. 1 of 5 students are bullied in high school but bullying rate in middle school is higher at 28% based on a CDC 2019 study. Our guest for this episode is Jason Brown, lead counselor at Quail Valley Middle School in Fort Bend ISD in Missouri City, Texas. During this episode Jason leads us to through a discussion on bullying in middle school. Jason provides a perspective on how to combat the bullying environment by providing students with more opportunities to connect, express their creativity and imagination while at the same time gaining their voice to become stronger in bullying situations.
