When we hear commentators use the phrase “the heart of a champion” they a
describing a certain disposition that has nothing to do with winning but
everything to do with a particular attitude toward the game. The phrase is used
in reference to an athlete’s particular character, commitment, and courage.
The phrase could just as easily apply to our Christian living. God wants us to
strive toward a certain type of heart.
I think that the Bible calls Christian to live with a certain attitude and
disposition toward life. I think the Bible calls us to have a particular
character, commitment, and courage.
