Veronica Murphy, Artistic Director for Write Out Loud, and Pamela Brittain, a Southwest High Language Arts teacher, discuss Write Out Loud's annual "Big Read" program with the National Endowment for the Arts, where San Diego County students read from the book The House on Mango Street and create an artistic project based on the themes, characters, settings, etc. from the book.
