Nicholas talks about this with Dr. Lisa, the creator of The Fresh Dolls. Dr. Lisa was a first-time doll maker on a serious mission to make authentic black, brown, and multi-cultural dolls for girls and boys. This mission had her travel to factories in China that tried to convince her to make the "easy" doll. The factories wanted to re-use existing "sculps" and paint them brown. Dr. Lisa's story will show you how you can push back against your factory partners even when you are a novice in your field.
