Episode Synopsis
Transfiguration: Hope and Power | St. Paul Lutheran WorshipDescription:🏔️ Mountaintop experiences are moments of awe and transformation—whether on a mission trip, a retreat, or simply standing before the majesty of God’s creation. But no mountaintop moment compares to the Transfiguration of Jesus, where His full divinity was revealed, giving us hope and power for today.📖 Scripture Readings:Deuteronomy 34:1-12 – Moses sees the Promised LandLuke 9:28-36 – The Transfiguration of JesusWhy is the Transfiguration important for us today?Just as Moses led God's people out of slavery in Egypt, Jesus would soon begin His final journey to the cross, breaking our bonds to sin. On that mountaintop:✅ Jesus prayed—He continually sought the Father.✅ God’s presence was revealed—and He is present with us today.✅ Jesus was empowered—and through the Holy Spirit, we too receive strength for the journey ahead. As we enter Lent, we are reminded of our own exodus—the reality that we will one day face the grave. But because Jesus came down the mountain and went to the cross, we have hope in Him.🙏 Join us in worship as we reflect on Christ’s glory and His mission to redeem us.
