Listen "4-18-22: From failure to $500 million"
Episode Synopsis
I would love to hear from you, just send me text and let me know what you think of the podcast.I love stories of entrepreneurs who have huge failures before huge successes. Today I wanted to share the story of Kathleen King, who founded Tate’s Bake Shop. If you don’t know Tate's, they are the crispy, crunchy chocolate chip cookies in the green bag that you can buy at the grocery store. King started a cookie company called Kathleen’s Bake Shop when she was just a teenager and grew it into a large scale bakery. But after 20 years she partnered with two brothers who ran the company into the ground, took ownership and left her with just a small bakery and hundreds of thousands of dollars of debt. King dusted herself off and kept on baking under a new name, Tate’s Bake Shop. She took all she learned from 20 years of business and grew her company so fast and so successfully that after just 10 years she sold her new brand for a whopping $500 million. So just when you think your dream has died, pause and consider that maybe it’s just a point to gather yourself, gather all you have learned and launch the next chapter of your success storyVisit my website: saxinthemorning.com for merchandise and other links.
