Just as Balaam was once a designated prophet appointed by God, his divided heart ultimately led him to be a self-appointed prophet. Many individuals who identify as Christians have experienced a similar trajectory, becoming self-appointed Christians due to a heart divided that results in a lifestyle that is conformed to the ways of the world. Consequently, their spiritual journey culminates in a state of spiritual death. However, we retain the option to relinquish our desires and surrender to the heart of God.
