Listen "1587: 'Marvellous' Tech Reunites Murraylands Woman with Penpal"
Episode Synopsis
Murray Bridge resident Maureen Green has had a video chat for the very first time with life-long penpal and friend Shirley in England.
Resthaven Murray Bridge staff have been working with Maureen's daughter Pam to connect the pair, who had only ever written letters and had spoken on the phone just twice.
The first time was in the 1907s when Pam won a 5MU radio competition to make an international phone call.
Jennie Lenman headed over the Resthaven Murray Bridge on Swanport Road this week to meet Maureen and Lifestyle Coordinator Soraya Fitzgerald.
