Listen "1568: Alexandrina Mayor Talks Budget, Sugars Beach, Goolwa Wharf & New Developments"
Episode Synopsis
Alexandrina Council adjourned any decision on its draft annual budget last week amid a flurry of comments hinting at a significant rate hike for ratepayers.
They have taken time out to reconsider and are coming back to the public with a revised draft for Community Consultation between 27 May and 17 June.
Mayor Keith Parkes says the revision could include fewer major projects.
He joins Jennie Lenman to discuss the plan, provide an update on the Sugars Beach and Goolwa Wharf plans, discuss the Encounter Bikeway project, cat by-law consultation and $10,000 in Federal funding for the Strathalbyn Junior Football Carnival.
