Today on RÚV English Radio, the music of Svavar Knútur.

Svavar Knútur (https://www.svavarknutur.com) is a singer-songwriter based in Akureyri. who released the album "Ahoy!" at the end of 2024. The album brings together previous records "Ahoy! Side A", which won him two Icelandic Music Awards for Best Album and Singer of the Year, and "Ahoy! Side B", "the final chapter of a fifteen year-long project exploring the world of grief". It also features five songs reworked or "repainted" from the earlier releases.

Darren met a very busy Svavar off his flight from Akureyri at Reykjavík Airport, just as he was about head to Keflavík, and then Canada, to play his music.
