Episode Synopsis

Part one takes you on a FIVE hour journey from 115 to 125bpm through deep house, indie dance and nu disco. The set was recorded live at the British Polo in Arabian Ranches Dubai. For the first hour or so the tunes supplied the backdrop for an after event drink but soon there was head nodding and people were slowly moving their feet, busting some slower shapes. After a couple of hours the whole place started grooving and thats when it went off. Musically the mix has a great flow and it seemed to work well for a more mixed crowd can typically be more commercial. I think this is why I only had one conversation all nightalong the lines of "can I make a suggestion? can you please play some Rihanna". The mix might be my best yet, from 2.5hrs in once they were dancing it felt like tune after tune after tune and the response from the crowd was electric. It will take a while to listen to but that's ok, turn it on, turn it UP, take your time and enjoy! a 5hr set is great for a car journey, great for a houseparty, great for background tunes at work, great for your garden at a bbq, nice for a long run. Just turn it UP!Get a few thousand people in a sunny field drinking champagne and pimms all afternoon and it is going to be carnage. Add in Rubber his tunes, a 12k sound system at an outdoor afterparty in the Polo club courtyard and it's clearly going to go off! and this one did..... Massive shout to Barney Brotherhood for carrying my record bag and pouring the Jim Beams all night, we smashed that bottle! Maximum respect to Paul Dias and the sound engineers from Soundsol. Total calmness when some happy reveller spilt a full drink over one of my decks that then stuck playing backwards. Quick and efficient swap out, CDJ opened in minimal light, circuit boards dried, parts replaced and deck back slotted in with minimum fuss. Love working with professionals!Part 2 of this mix to follow next month
