Episode Synopsis

This episode is focused on the role of traditional institutions in advancing democratic governance in Africa. despite that these institutions exist in parallel with formal institutions, they continue to perform important functions such as conflict resolution, allocation of resources, security, and so on. Given the important functions that they perform, we recommend more resources should be allocated to these institutions.
