July is BIPOC Mental Health Month! Many people of color find themselves dealing with symptoms of depression and anxiety, while continue to try and manage their everyday responsibilities. During this episode, we are joined by Kristen Parrott who shares her journey of identifying and being diagnosed with depression and anxiety. As a Pediatric Nurse, she provides insight into how she cares for others in the midst of caring for herself. As a mother and a wife, Kristen helps us better understand high functioning depression and anxiety by giving us ways in which this can show up in our daily lives. Her journey helps us breathe a sigh of relief by giving us the ReMINDer that even with all of the various roles we hold, we can prioritize our mental health and find the strength and courage to heal.
