Listen "To Think Theologically About Aliens (Seriously) (#3)"
Episode Synopsis
Astrophysicists discover new planets almost daily; might there be intelligent life on one of these planets? Even if not, the number of planets that must exist universe-wide is probably in the billions, or higher. Given God's creativity, it seems plausible, even likely, that there are other species somewhere in the universe who can communicate with their Creator. What consequences does this have for Christian theology? Two main areas are explored: the Trinity (specifically the Incarnation), and people in other religious traditions (on Earth). Guests: astrophysicist and minister David Wilkinson, theologian and philosopher Keith Ward.David: https://www.dur.ac.uk/theology.religion/staff/profile/?id=2006Keith: https://www.keithward.org.uk/Join the Patreon for bonus episodes every month: patreon.com/dankochWebsite: youhavepermissionpod.comJoin Dan's email list: dankochwords.comEdited by Chris Keene & Scott CangemiArtwork by sprungle.co Hosted on Acast.
