Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.Holiday themed games are always a ton of fun. However, one of the popular holidays that occurs around this time of year doesn't often get it's due in the roleplaying game community - Thanksgiving. It seems like it would be a no brainer! but alas, I wasn't able to find much in the way of Thanksgiving scenarios. However I did find some ideas, so I thought I would share them with all of you. In this weeks episode I present a series of adventure hook ideas I discovered and give you my take on them. Mostly D&D based, I also tried to give a couple ideas for Call of Cthulhu as well. That's not all that makes a holiday themed game, I also discuss some ideas you can implement on game day that would make a Thanksgiving game feel unique and special.
