Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.This week I am doing  bit of a crossover with my video game podcast. This is all about the impact that video games have had on the tabletop roleplaying game industry. We know that video games have benefitted greatly by many concepts that were pioneered by roleplaying games like D&D, but after all these years we can see tangible evidence of the impact that video games have returned to our beloved tabletop hobby. I go over the 5 positive and associated negative impacts we have seen on tabletop roleplaying games. Although there is a lot of crossover in the fan bases of these hobbies,  not everyone has a foot in both worlds and the impacts can feel quite substantial for those folks.
