Gen Con is here! This week it is all things Gen Con as the best 4 days in gaming once again descends upon Indianapolis! I've previously done an episode on my excitement about this holiest of days in the year for a gamer, but as today is the first day of Gen Con 2023 I wanted to do a deeper dive. This is a crash course history lesson on Gen Con as it went from a small gathering of like minded gamers in a basement, to a juggernaut 70,000 count crowd of ravenous gamers (and all the notable things that happened in between). I also recount my own most memorable Gen Con memories and also provide tips for attending Gen Con, whether you are going this year or planning some time in the future (you should!).
