Welcome to the Saving Throes podcast! This is my Tabletop role-playing game podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a topic or theme along with my take on current happenings in the world of tabletop role-playing games and semi regular updates on the games I am currently involved with, or new games or products I have come across.Independent RPG month continues this week with our grand finale! A review of Dungeon Crawl Classics now famous annual event, DCC Day! It began in 2020 and has become a yearly tradition, along with Free RPG day. I give an overview of the offerings each year since it's inception and do a bit of a deeper dive on this years event in 2023, as well as my official grade for each of the years so far. It's not only new products that are on offer on DCC Day, but also several events being run at game stores. Although I didn't attend the official events at any of my game stores, I most certainly celebrated DCC Day in another way - I hosted a 0-level funnel at my home with a small group of players, one of which was brand new to RPGs in general.
