Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!In this episode of Evercade Expeditions, I am looking at the relatively recently released red spine cart # 31 - Sunsoft Collection 1. This platformer heavy cart contains 6 titles ranging from the early 1980's to the early 1990's. Many of these games were familiar to me from my childhood, but mostly from the ads I saw in gaming magazines or box art on the store shelves or rental store shelves. I have had remarkably little experience with the majority of titles on this collection, and a few are legitimate diamonds that could have easily been lost to time, especially with one title in particular that never got a release in North America and had very little fanfare for it due to it's original release timing on the NES after the SNES was already released. Thanks to the magic of Evercade, these titles are saved from the obscurity of their past and are no longer super expensive to experience from the retro second hand market.
