Welcome to the Pining For Pixels podcast! This is my video game variety show podcast, part of the Red Rooster's Gaming Coop network where I talk gaming and gaming culture every week. Each episode will feature a subject or theme that interests me, and I will speak about what is on my mind in the world of video games!As promised, here is my follow-up to the first ever Versus Mode segment where I pit the Street Fighter franchise up against the Mortal Kombat Franchise. That one ended in a draw down the middle, without a clear winner. I vowed that after the release of Street Fighter 6 and Mortal Kombat 1 I would re-visit this segment and crown the franchise winner based on the results. In this Versus Mode I am pitting SF6 and MK1 against one another to see which of these current gen releases reigns supreme! I decided to set the criteria as a best 2 out of 3 in some key categories to determine the winner in true fighting game fashion. It was a very tough call, but one game rose a little higher than the other, not only winning this specific episode of Versus Mode, but also retroactively winning the Versus Mode  of it's respective franchise! The good news is that either way, fans of both franchises win as both titles were worthy opponents.
