Listen "Honest and Confident Self-Care: Learning to Listen Without Judgment"
Episode Synopsis
How many times have you called in on a snow day and felt guilty, like you’re lying, but you’re truly looking out for your own well-being and safety. It’s funny how taking care of myself can feel like others think I’m lying. Maybe it’s because I spent so long neglecting my well-being that prioritizing it now feels unnatural. But with practice, I we can get better at letting go of imagined judgment and doing what’s best for us.This morning, I heard a story, but instead of really listening, I was deciding whether I believed it. My inner voice was louder than the message. The moment I realized what I was doing, I let go of the judgment and just listened. I quickly extracted the lesson I almost missed. How many times have I let my own judgements drown out something I needed to hear? I believe there’s always something to learn from each other when we can quiet down our own voice.Listen and subscribe wherever you get your podcasts and YouTube.
