If I didn’t love my life and the people in it so much, I wouldn’t be so upset that everything is temporary. It’s life’s impermanence that makes it so special. I’ll work on believing that. Every day, I have a choice whether I will give my fear power over the present? It’s heavy, and for those of us who wrestle with this question daily, it can feel paralyzing. But fearing the inevitable doesn’t stop it from happening, it only robs me of the joy I have right now.I feel little vulnerability in sharing my story because, for so many people around us, this is life or death. Someone standing right next to you might be choosing to give power to their fear today. They don’t want to tell you what’s wrong because they’re afraid you might fix it. Fear fuels itself and clouds the dreamer in us.
