Let's focus on what we want to be today, because tomorrow never truly arrives; it's always today, and we must make the most of it.
Drawing inspiration from today's Thought for the Day on the Hazeldon Betty Ford website, I explore the following concepts as they apply to the twelfth step and what we aspire to be today: confidence, confession, conviction, conversion, and continuance.
I examine how sharing our experiences builds confidence in others and ourselves, how confession helps us stay honest and connected, how conviction keeps us committed to our principles, how we convert into better versions of ourselves, and how continuance allows us to withstand this lifelong journey of recovery with the same passion each day.
